Cindy Dudgeon,
Cindy is a licensed acupuncturist with a Master's degree in
acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture. She carries
a Diplomate in Acupuncture and is also a Certified Craniosacral
Therapist. Cindy often combines both modalities in treating
her patients. She uses her training to treat a wide variety
of ailments, with a special interest in women's issues. She
is trained in both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture,
as well as non-insertive techniques.
As a patient herself, Cindy has
used acupuncture to relieve allergies and asthma with excellent
results. As a child, she suffered from chronic respiratory
illnesses that often limited her activities. As she grew older,
Cindy felt that there must be a way to strengthen the body
without the overuse of medicines. She began to explore
alternative therapies as a side interest until she finally
found acupuncture. The positive results she saw from
her treatments brought her to the path that she now follows.
Through her training, Cindy learned to view the body in
terms of balance versus imbalance, and she strives to share
this perspective with her patients. She is able to approach
her patients from a place of compassion, empathy and sensitivity,
and she holds firm to the belief that given the right tools,
we all have the ability to help and heal ourselves.
Emily Keough,
LCMT, is a state licensed and nationally certified massage
therapist. Graduated from the Polarity Institute in Ipswich,
MA, she combines this educational experience with more than
a dozen years of working as an Occupational Therapist in schools,
hospitals, and homes, specializing in pediatric, geriatric
and rehabilitative care.
Part of her connectedness with the
therapeutic usages of massage surely stems from her own struggle
with Post Polio Syndrome and her quest to win a happy, healthy
and productive existence despite this condition. She is a
wife, mother of three, and active grandmother of two young
children. Emily enjoys kayaking on the various waterways of
Ipswich and surrounding communities at whatever chances the
tides provide. She also dabbles with the art of beading and
creations can be found at many local shops.
Her massages encompass well-being
in its totality, intended not only for the healing and restoration
of the body, but also and equally important, for the attention
of a strong and balanced mind and a fulfilled and vibrant
spirit. Emily practices Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Myofascial
Release, Prenatal and Infant, and Trigger Point massage therapies.
