Prenatal
Yoga
|
| Your
Prenatal Yoga class was a blessing for me and my baby! The
breathing techniques far surpass anything offered in the
hospital's birthing classes. Your teachings of focus and
endurance are what fine-tuned the breath to work through
the hours of labor. And the exercises helped me push the
baby out in record time. I also feel that the breathing
and exercises had a lot to do with the fact that my baby
is so easily soothed. She's 11 months old and all I have
to do to calm her is hold her close, breathe deeply, and
quietly chant. |

Yoga
|
Though inclined
to skepticism about matters of the supernatural and
mysticism, my wife and I are unconditional believers
in the physical benefits of Yoga and in the effectiveness
of my teacher, Ingrid Miles. A daily 30 minutes of practice
has made it possible for me to move around with reasonable
agility again in a small sailboat and even to descend
into deep knee bends and come back up without a hoist
or even a hand hold and I've been getting into movies
at cut rates for almost as long as I can remember.

Mommy+Me
Yoga
|
Mommy
+ Me Yoga was a natural progression from Prenatal Yoga
for me. It was so nice to have my daughter attend a
yoga class outside of the womb and see that she enjoys
seeing other people, the yoga movements that incorporate
her as well as the chanting. As she continues to grow
it amazes me how she intuitively does yoga poses. Downward
dog is still one of her favorite positions. I look forward
to taking other yoga classes with her in the future!

Ingrid Miles brings
commitment, compassion, integrity and a wealth of knowledge
to the yoga practice she offers. Her story that she shares
of her own physical redemption is a compelling one and
shines the light of possibility on the path of yoga for
all of us who work to overcome physical challenges. Her
enthusiasm and goodwill infuse each session. I recommend
Ingrid without reservation.

| I
am a special education teacher
and I work with students who have moderate disabilities.
Ingrid Miles teaches a 30-minute Yoga class weekly to
my students. Yoga and Ingrid’s instruction has
mad a wonderful difference in my students. Ingrid always
creates a safe and comfortable space for my students
to explore the possibilities that exist in their bodies.
Many of my students have sensory issues and are rarely
quiet and their bodies still. Ingrid helps them work
out their excess energy and stress, so they can truly
relax and be still. Other students have issues with
self-esteem and Ingrid has helped them visualize and
present themselves in a more positive and self-assured
light. When asked what they like best about yoga, one
student responded, “Because it makes me happy.”
I can’t thank Ingrid enough for all that she has
done for my students and me.” |
